Ryedale District Council to host landlords’ forum

Ryedale District Council is holding a landlords’ forum to support those in the district.

Local landlords, agents and members of the National Residential Landlord association are welcome to attend the event on 3 November at the Council’s offices, Ryedale House, in Malton. Arrivals are from 4.45pm with presentations from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

A series of speakers will give presentations including:

  • An update on the Decent Homes Standard consultation and white paper from a representative from the National Residential Landlords Asociation.
  • A legislative update on the Minimum Energy Efficiency Regulation Standards and the Smoke and Carbon Mooxide Regulations from Tim Scurry, Ryedale District Council.
  • Presentation on the Home Upgrade Grant.

There will also be stalls with representatives from Ryedale District Council's Housing and Community teams, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and others to be confirmed.

Phillip Spurr, Programme Director for Place and Resources at Ryedale District Council, said:

"Supporting lives and livelihoods in Ryedale, including its businesses, is a priority for the Council. We have hosted a landlords’ forum for several years and it is a great opportunity for landlords and agents to learn about, and access, the support available to them.

“After hosting the event virtually last year due to COVID-19 restrictions, we’re looking forward to welcoming guests and speakers in person to Ryedale House. The forum will greatly benefit landlords and I would encourage them to attend.”

Free parking is available at Ryedale House and tea and coffee will be provided on arrival.
